Eight years ago today a 16 year old boy asked my daddy for permission to pursue a friendship with me.

Today that boy and I are still friends.

We are now husband and wife.

We are now committed to the privilege of a life long pursuit of the deepest friendship with one another.

And I’m so thankful.
