This weekend I had the privilege of attending a parenting conference with my dear sister. My parents and Jordan’s parents tag teamed to care for our kids, while Jordan was hard at work in Kentucky providing for us and putting in the hours and work it takes to get this degree wrapped up! I’m thankful for this weekend for many reasons. Somewhere sandwiched in all of the reasons, and definitely not in last place, Is the opportunity to share it with my sister. There were lots of people to learn from this week, not the least of whom was her. I left Nashville feeling ready to go collect my little girls and continue lots of hard works in them. One of those works being to strive to teach them how to love one another, be kind to each other, and be friends with their sisters. Because it’s so worth it. One day they won’t be able to remember who their other friends were at these ages and stages. But they will always have each other.
💖 They will never forget each other. I, as their mom, want to give them the gift of good, forever friends – sisters. I’m thankful for the way the Lord redeems and uses relationships. And I’m thankful to be doing this mom life thing along side this, my sweet sister, … separately, and only seeing each other 2 times a year, ….. but alongside. ![]()
