Last Firsts

This guy just finished his [last] first week of school (for this degree anyways).

He’s worked so hard.

He’s done in a little less than 3 years what it takes a lot of very diligent and hard working people twice that much time or more to do. Most semesters he’s been in Hebrew and Greek at the same time. He’s never worked less than two jobs at a time while doing it. He’s never chosen the easier classes or professors. No one could describe his work as anything less than excellent. How does one get better than a 3.94 GPA when you are in multiple of Dr. Gentry’s classes a semester? 😉

…. And anyone who knows Jordan at all knows how high of a place in his life he gives our home and family. He does all of his school work and studying in our living room so that he can be around the girls, hear the random things they want to tell him, be the one to discipline them when he’s home, and to help me out whenever I need something. He does way more dishes than I do somehow and he changes a ton of diapers. He’s the first out of bed in the morning (other than Rahab 😳😂) and he functions on as little sleep as Dr. Mohler. 😂

I can’t say that I’m sad at all that we are beginning to wrap up this season. But I am thankful to have gone through it with him, and I’m feeling all the more confident in God’s new and fresh grace to see us through every morning, every trial, every season, and in whatever ministry He has next for us

…. from now until forever.
